I have been eating at Playa Azul for over twenty years and consider it one of my very favorite restaurants. The food is consistently prepared and always flavorful, the service always good, and the setting probably one of the most pleasant in Santa Barbara!
Playa Azul is simply one of Santa Barbara’s best bets. Food always fresh and well prepared, service always attentive and kind, atmosphere casual and festive for everyone.
It has been years since we have dined there, a Santa Barbara gem that we forget. So happy to have had the opportunity again!

We have been to Playa Azul many times and it is always good. It was a no brainer to participate in the fundraiser for Transition House.
All these years this little gem of a restaurant has been in Santa Barbara and I had no idea. A casual, warm, Central American ambiance with authentic, fresh food. The beans and tortillas tasted homemade and the scallop dish was to die for. Great margaritas! I ate way too much to have room for dessert.
Just saw this ad and sorry I missed getting this offer. We often eat there with two other couples. Love the outside in summer, and inside in the winter. See locals there often.
